Gerald E. Gipp

Gerald E. Gipp (Tatanka Hanska/Long Bull) is the interim Executive Director of the National Indian Education Association, a national advocate for American Indian Education concerns. Previously, he served as the Executive Director for the American Indian Higher Education Consortium (AIHEC) reporting to the presidents of the 37 member tribal colleges and universities. Additionally, Dr. Gipp has also worked with the National Science Foundation, the Administration for Native Americans (ANA) and the Office of Indian Education in the U.S. Department of Education. Dr. Gipp received his B.S. from Ellendale State Teachers College and his M.Ed. and Ph.D. from Pennsylvania State University.
