Michael is an undergraduate English major at Florida International University. He was born in Miami, FL, to a Spanish-American mother and a Cuban-American father. As a writer, Michael is primarily interested in exploring the dynamics of his hometown and its people through fiction writing; it is his ambition to understand real truths about the world around him by being a professional storyteller. Michael is also a musician; he earned a Certificate in Music Production from Miami Lakes Educational Center alongside his high school diploma. From 2011 to 2014, he served as songwriter, guitarist, and vocalist for his band Red Channels, releasing two albums during that span. He lives in Miami Lakes with his cat, Domino.
